I am Clive Moore a web designer, apple geek, fisherman, husband to Aimee & guardian to my dogs Carleigh and Zoey.

Whether creating a web application, a brand identity or developing print collateral, I temper design and technology with wisdom, remaining committed to the belief that sharp strategic thinking is both essential and timeless.

I have passion about web standards, AJAX and DOM Scripting, a really odd facination with logos and typography as well as an inherent need to make the web more usable and accessible.

What do I do?

I create stunning designs for websites, interfaces and webapps based on your requirements. I’m also experienced in brand development and identity design.

I take pride in creating well-written HTML and CSS code that’s clean, pixelperfect and reusable. Needless to add that it validates and meets current standards.

Wordpress & CMS Themes

I create custom designs and implementations for Wordpress and other popular CMS based sites. This includes both blogs as well as regular or corporate websites.

How do I do it?

Here I learn about your project, and then do my own research to learn about your industry, your competitors, and most importantly your customers.

Throughout this whole process, I will be sending you designs to review and approve assuring that we end up with a project we're proud of.

I will then meticulously code and debug your website to ensure the user enjoys a rich, seamless experience no matter what browser they are are using.

Development Log

September 16th, 2010.

Day 1: The Brief (3 hours)

I will be developing the styles directly on the live site straight from photoshop to here, no dev environment, no... wait... this is the development environment.

Today we are doing some creative research on images and concepts.

September 17th, 2010.

Day 2: The concept (5 hours)

I've come up with a concept, I'm building a single page website similar to those found One Page Love with the aim of being displayed there.

What I can't decide is if I want to go with the Red Room, or the uber clean euro look have a look at the attached and tell me what you're thoughts are by dropping me a line at: clive[at]cm3.ca and vote!

September 20th, 2010.

Day 3: Technology & Typography Research (5 hrs)

We've decide to go with html5/CSS3(which won't validate yet), jQuery w/fancybox (possibly a scroller as we get more content) for the portfolio and cufon for font replacement.

Trade Gothic (display) supported by none other than helvetica.

September 21st, 2010.

Day 4: Technology (1.5 hrs)

Sick as a dog today, worked mostly on client material, still managed to get the html convert to 5... managed to break fancybox as soon as I did though so I've reverted to a Strict 1.0 DOCTYPE for now...

September 22nd, 2010.

Day 5: Development (6 hrs)

too tired, will tell you what I did yesterday, tomorrow!

I'm still having trouble getting cufon to work but I'll come back to that

Day 6: Development Time (5.5 hrs)

Got up this morning with the idea that I might get fancybox going again a let me see... YAY!
